does god hate gay people?

i really love my friend tila tequila. she always makes a really positive impact on my life. we have sat up on so many nights taking philosophy, religion, physics.. we've talked about morality, sanity, spirituality, and many other things..
i've been asked many times why i'm friends with her since people are quick to judge and be negative...
i'm her friend because she's amazing and full of love. she's one of those rare people that you find that can always make you feel better, important and special.
i just read her new blog. i knew it was coming. we both did. she's bisexual... SO WHAT?
so she has a fun new show on mtv that is opening up this subject. even alot of gay people have issues with people who say they are bisexual. i just say WE ARE WHAT WE ARE AND WHAT WE ARE IS WHAT GOD MADE US.
i wont even say if im gay straight or bisexual. i will love whoever i want to love. my god IS LOVE.
im an ex-mormon. i know what it is to belong to an organization. they tell you what is appropriate and what is not appropriate. what to wear.. what to think.. how to pray.. how to live.. i'm also not anti-religion.. i think some people need that. i believe that's all a part of god's plan as well..
but if we are going to bring up christianity and jesus christ.... i see only love and understanding in his teachings. tolerance and understanding.. so why are most hardcore christians that i know so angry? isnt thier god one of the most peaceful historical figures in the history of our race?
people are terrified of things that they dont understand. people are terrified of not knowing the answers.. its people's own fear and misunderstanding that makes them judge other people and take on the subject so forcefully.
what i say is if you've never been bisexual.. you can't really judge bisexuality.
if you've never been gay... you know nothing of what it is to be gay..
we need more tolerance and more understanding in this world and less judgement and fear and guilt.
that's why i posted up that thing my young friend chris crocker wrote the other day. its people like tila and chris that im proud to call my friends. they are strong and they know who they are and they have really big hearts.
i might personally think that all religions on this earth are fuelled by money and power... and that is the opposite of what i want to worship... but that is my own personal belief.
my god is the god that saved my life also when i was anorexic and on speed and ready to just give up.. i had gone from being mormon in a really controlled environment to rock and roll world with no rules..and i was lost in both worlds. some girls from a group sort of like alcoholics anonymous reached out to me and my first time defining god i made him the fat cat that seemed to show up at my door in my apartment building whenever i was really distressed. i realized god just IS. and each and every one of us is different and unique. each of us is in pain and in need of love. with all this beautiful diversity and individuality why would god have only one way..one church..one way of thinking? that makes no sense to me. if god created the cosmos and the atom and butterflies and etc. who are we to tell each other what god is or god isnt. i see it simply as LOVE vs. HATE. we either love ourselves and each other or we give into the hate. and the hate is small and black and fearful. love's side is happiness and understanding and knowledge. and this struggle goes on within each one of us in different ways.
so i dont think its very christian of those "christian people" to be going around telling everyone else how to live and how to think and how to love filling people with guilt and fear and shame for just being what they are.
god made me a very complex quirky strange amazing person full of love. god helps me not to give into the crazy blackness that has threatened to destroy me in the past.
i think those sorts of things matter... the existential undefinable forces that are inexplanable and yet also familiar to all of us all over this planet.
whether i decide to go through life with a man or a woman... i dont think god really cares as long as i am trying as hard as i can to be a good person.
money and power are corrupting forces. they say who controls the past controls the future.. and it bothers me that some of these christian churches try to change the past and reject the advances of science. it bothers me that people in power want to keep the vast majority of people dumb so that they will believe anything they are told.
now that we can all talk to each other on sites like these we are all more connected so that they can never get away with another rewrite of the bible or something like that....
basically... i believe god is love and intelligence and understanding....
